| In June of 2009 Post 7589 in cooperation
with American Legion Post 10 and several companies teamed together to
provide Manassas area WWII Veterans a free trip to the War Memorials in
Washington DC and Arlington Cemetary. For many this was their
first trip to see these attractions. What ensued hovever, was a
day where the Veterans themselves became as much of an attraction as the
memorials. Many visiters were enthralled to converse with some of
the actual people who were involved in the events that are memorialized
there.
