Post 7589 had the honor of hosting VFW Junior Vice Commander-in-chief Glen Gardner at our post home on Sunday March 11, 2007 during his tour of Northern Virginia Posts.  Accompanying were State Commander Doc Crouch, State Senior Vice Commander Jimmy Lee Wallace, State Junior Vice Commander Hal Roesch, State Adjutant/Quartermaster Kim DeShano, Chief of Staff Roy Swanner and past State Commander Dan Boyer.

Following a luncheon of Virginia & Texas Barbeque (Glen Gardner hails from Texas) Glen addressed the attendees about the future of VFW and the need to recruit younger members.  Following his address, those who have recruited new members in the past year were presented pins as a token of appreciation.

Post 7589 has attained 100% membership for the 2006-2007 membership year and was also honored to have the Glen and Doc present the distinguished post award.

Sam and Rick receive caps which are traditionally given to the Post Commander and Quartermaster for attaining 100% Membership.
