On Sunday, July 20, 2008 we were honored to participate in a social event for our adopted unit the 266th MP Company and their famalies. The event began with an informational meeting at the Armory where many of the veterans' services organizations were available to meet with the troops. Our post and our auxiliary were well represented. A picnic hosted by American Legion Post 28 followed the meeting. Our post assisted by supplying the hamburgers, hotdogs and condiments. Although this was not intended to be a recruiting event, 23 soldiers applied to become members.
